That are great insight, Martin! Also, one thing I call "does this founder get marketing" is often overlooked... and is one reason why unrealistic OKRs are set. If the founder does not understand marketing and sets the direction here, then failure is often pre-programmed.
Yeah, a lot of people (myself included) step into roles with the best intentions, but if you haven’t done the basic due diligence, it can turn into a mess for everyone. This is especially true for leadership roles like CMO or CPO. Have you experienced it?

Yes I did ... I ignored a couple red flags just because I was super interested in the position.... it turned out to be a complete mess.
I think so many people experience and very few talk about it. All we hear are the success fairytales and hockey stick growth.
